INTRODUCTION:
This index contains complete lists in alphabetical order of the
Spanish and Italian terms in the present edition of the IEC
Multilingual Dictionary of Electricity, Electronics and
Telecommunications.
In each list, the terms are followed by their equivalent in English
and in French, as well as indications enabling reference to be made
to either part of Volume 1 or to Volume 2 of the Dictionary,
i.e.:
— indication of the key word under which the term appears with its definition;
— the order of the word below the relevant key word given by its numerical index. The IEC, the Inteational Electrotechnical Commission, is the authority for world standards in electrical and electronics engineering. The I EC is composed of National Committees in more than 40 countries formed to represent in inteational discussions all their national electrical and electronics interests, including manufacturers, users, trade associations, the engineering profession and govement. IEC standards, developed by over 200 Technical Committees and Sub-Committees whose programmes collectively span electrotechnology, are used as the basis of national rules and standards in over 100 countries, and for the purposes of inteational trade.
