Here is the Linguaphone Indonesian Course, published for the first time on the inteet. Of course, a new Linguaphone course posted on uz-translations is always an important event, especially when it was designed in the 70's. We all know the quality of these methods here.
However, there is another important point to underline: It's the first post on uz-translations being the fruit of a collaborative project (See the Linguaphone Indonesian Project (LIP) in the English forum). This news wouldn't have been possible without the friendly assistance of those who shared the work with me, or helped me to improve my methods, or sometimes simply gave me some courage to continue. I want to thank all of them here, with a special mention to normunds who splitted all the tape files into lessons!
It was not easy to drive such a project: some people (onebir for instance) couldn't help simply because I couldn't find enough time to clearly explain what had to be done, and how. The truth is I was not ready! At the same time, my methods to clean and prepare the scanned pages changed thru my discussions with ysubst, making my tutorials obsolete before they were published!
That said, I hope there will be similar projects in the future, initiated by me or others. I leaed a lot from this first experience, and I know better what is really needed for such a team work. I'm sure I will be much more efficient next time.
Now, it's time for users to judge the product of this team work.
So here is the final complete version, with all audio and books files. And it's why I create the news again.
Some bonus will be soon posted in the forum however.
I already posted all the audio files, in CBR (Constant Bit Rate, 128 Kbps) and VBR (Variable Bit Rate). The VBR version is bigger but is supposed to be of better quality. At least, in theory; but it's likely your ears won't be able to make any difference! Moreover, the CBR version is more reliable for going to a definite time location, or looping, with some players. I would say the CBR version is more appropriate if you work "by sections" at home, while VBR would be better for a continuous listening in your car for instance. I plan to post a new message in the LIP thread of the forum to give more details. If it sounds too technical for you, it's likely the CBR version will be perfect for you!
As for the books, I post all of them in one file today. I previously posted a temporary link with the "Instructions booklet" and the "textbook". Please delete them: even these books were improved before being posted in this new package!
