From presented table you can see that, really copper has not passed to a core of a detail mix of
SHS – reagents, because the sample with coppering is softer. It is also the advantage. Copper raises
wear resistance of details, corrosion resistance. It is formed oxide manganese spheroid type without
drawing of a copper layer on a surface, the size of grain on a surface and in a core practically does not
change. Sulphides are formed, after drawing of a layer of copper, and also a blanket the core has more
fine-grained structure, than on a surface.
Burnishing with transmission pulse currents is a method of an electrophysical processing. It pro-
vides increasing of the hardness of a blanket, improves the quality of a surface of a detail. It is possible
to achieve hardness increase in 1,1–1,3 times and values of roughness Ra = 1,25–0,7 microns at unitary
turning and the subsequent electropulse burnishing.
It is important to notice, that during carrying out of SHS-Reaction the temperature in a burning
zone reaches from 900 to 1000 °C, that corresponds to melting temperature. As cooling is spent on air
the structure less intense and firm, than martensite, – troostite turns out. It leads to have high hardness
and sufficient plasticity of a blanket and fine-grained layer. In the course of burning metal elements of
mixes take root into blankets of preparations. It involves change of metal structure (lattice change), du-
rability properties samples (hardness), and also is superficial alloying.
CONCLUSIONS
The average hardness of samples increases in 1,5–2 times, the metal structure is fine-grained,
the core is plastic, the quality of a surface is Ra = 1,25–0,7 microns. Processing of a detail in diameter
of 400–600 mm and 800–1000 mm is made length less than 90 minutes.
It is necessary to investigate constantly new technologies which will allow improving of eco-
nomic and ecological positions in the world in the conditions of continuously increasing competition in
the market, to increase in requirements to quality of made production and, the most important thing,
constant decrease in level of security of a planet by fuel resources. The obtained dates accurately show
changes in time characteristics of the project and in number of consumed energy. Decrease in labour
input and power consumption of process leads reduction in the cost price of production that is favour-
able for manufacturers, and decrease in negative influence on ecological conditions.
