unknown in the laboratory. Furthermore, Andy Nagy exhibited incredible crea-
tivity by taking half-baked, malformed ideas and transforming them into real
devices that functioned flawlessly in the test lab. Both of these consummate
professionals, now deceased, provided excellent role models and mentors for the
