London: Puffin Books, 1975 (1966). - 175 с.
Перевод с немецкого. На английском языке. Название оригинала: Der
Kleine Mann. (1963). На русском языке книга называется "Мальчик из
спичечной коробки"
His real name was Maxie Pichelsteiner but most people called him
The Little Man, because he was only two inches high and slept in a
matchbox. His parents were acrobats with Stilke’s Circus, but they
were blown off the Eiffel Tower by a sudden gust of wind when he
was quite tiny, and after that Maxie was brought up by the
world-famous conjurer, Professor Hokus von Pokus — along with his
two doves, Minna and Emma, and his white rabbit, Alba.
