HE WORLD BANK HAS

appr oved a grant of US$8M to

support the Government of the

Central African Republic (CAR) to

rehabilitate the country’s power infra-

structure – inc luding hydro power

facilities – while balancing supply and

demand in the capital Bangui, and

helping the country’s power utility to

improve its financial and operational

sustainability.

World Bank approves grant

for Central African Republic

During the energy crisis in June

2008, over half of the electricity supply

was lost for several weeks, affecting

Bangui’s water supply, which relies on

electric power for pumping water

around the city. Hospitals were also

affected by the lack of power. The proj-

ect will reduce the risk of such a crisis

reoccurring in one of Africa’s poorest

countries.

The goal of the project is to partial-

ly restore reliable power supply to elec-

tricity utility Enerca’s customers in

Bangui, including essential service

providers such as the water company

and hospitals, and to improve the

financial and operational performance

of the sector.

In particular, the project will rehabil-

itate the Boali 1 and 2 hydro power

facilities, a part of a much larger hydro-

electric power complex, thereby

increasing reliable power supply. Boali

3, which includes a dam and power-

house, would present the last phase of

this complex and investors for its

reconstruction are now being sought,

with some bilaterals and multilaterals

showing interest.

“If no urgent measures are taken,

the electricity crisis experienced last

summer could recur in an even more

severe form lead ing to high socioe-

conomic cost or even a humanitari-

n crisis in Bangui, ” emphasise d

“Enerca lacks funds to perform vital

maintenance and rehabilitation of its

dilapidated infrastructure, and reen-

gagement from the donor communi-

ty is critical.”

The project has four key compo-

nents: (i) the rehabilitation of existing

hydro power stations ; (ii) the intro-

duction of more efficient lighting, by

the distr ibution of Compact

Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) in order to

reduce energy usage for lighting pur-

poses by up to 10%; (iii) the intro-

duction of pre-payment meters to

improve revenue collection; and (iv)

loss reductions through the replace-

ment of old distribution lines with PVC

insulated ones, which make it harder

to steal power.

“Our assistance is supplementing

resources from Agence France de

Developpement, the other donor

responding to this pressing situation,”

said Country Dir ector, Ms. Mary

Barton-Dock. “We see this project as

responding to the emergency situation

in a way that lays the foundation for

reform and future sustainability of the

power sector in CAR.”

The project will be closely coordi-

nated with AFD (the French aid

agency), which is already financing the

partial rehabilitation of power genera-

tion in CAR. The estimated total cost

of this project is US$8M. It will be

entirely financed by IDA and will be

implemented for three years. The

grant is expected to close on June 30,

2012.

NHDC receives plaudit for Omkareshwar

ARMADA HYDROELECTRIC

Development Corp (NHDC) has

received a major p laudit for

early completion of the

Omkareshwar project in Madhya

Pradesh state, in India.

The utility received the National

Gold Shield Award for 2007-08 from

the President of India for completion

of Omkareshwar in November 2007.

The deadline for the scheme, as set

by the Cabinet Committee on

Economic Affairs, was February 2008.

NHDC received recognition for the

520MW scheme after receiving the

same award in early 2007 for the 1GW

Indira Sagar scheme.

Omkareshwar was approved for

construction by the Committee in

March 2003. Work formally began on

site in August that year and main con-

struction got underway in October.

The surface powerhouse has eight

65MW Francis turbines, and the units

were synchronised over July-November

2007.

Omkareshwar also comprises a

949m long, 53m high concrete gravi-

ty dam with a central, 570m long

Ogee-type spillway on the river

Narmada. Flood regulation is enabled

by installation of 23 radial gates, each

20m by 18m.

Constructed on an engineering, pro-

curement and construction (EPC)

basis, the civil contractor was

Jaiprakash Associates, part of the

Jaypee Group, the generating units

were supplied by Voith Siemens Hydro

Power Generation (now Voith Hydro).

NHDC is a joint venture of National

Hydroelectric Power Corp (NHPC) and

the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

The JV was set up in August 2000 and

became a public limited company in

May 2003.

The JV has three further, smaller

projects in planning to be built on the

river Narmada – Bauras (55MW),

Handia (51MW) and Hoshangbad

(45MW).

Omkareshwar is one of the 30

major dam-based projects on the river

Narmada proposed in 1979 by the fed-

erally-appointed Narmada Water

Disputes Tribunal.

Aquamarine and Airtricity in 1GW marine deal

QUAMARINE POWER LTD HAS

s igned a Development

A greement with Air tricity, the

renewable energy devel opment divi-

s ion o f Sco ttish and Southern

Energy (SSE ), to develop sites capa-

ble of hosting IGW of marine energy

by 2020.

Under the Agreement, the two com-

panies will enter into a 50:50 joint

venture to develop wave and tidal

energy sites in the UK an d R epublic

of Ireland. Work on the development

of the first two sites has already start-

ed, with plans to roll out further sites

over the next three years.

“This contract is the biggest deal in

the history of marine energy,” said

Martin McAdam, Chief Executive of

Aquamarine. “Fully consented off-

shore wind farm sites are selling to

owner operators at anywhere between

£150,000 and £400,000 per MW

consented, giving a strong indication

of the large potential value of this deal

if all 1000MW of sites receive full con-

sents and grid connection.”

The two companies' goal is to

deliver marine energy sites suitable

for deploying Aquamarine's tech-

nologies, including the Oyster Wave

Energy Converter and the N eptune

Tidal Device. The two companies will

work together with stakeholders to

select and develop the most promis-

ing sites to deliver lo cal economic

benefits, environmental protection

and clean energy.

“Following the significant invest-

ments made by our parent company,

SSE, in Aquamarine and its technolo-

gy, this is the next logical step; to pro-

vide a route to market for their

promising Oyster and Neptune tech-

nologies,” commented Stephen

Wheeler, Airtricity's Director respon-

sible for mari ne development. “The

agre ement gives Airtricity a first

option on sites Aquamarine develop,

using its know-how and technology to

identify and develop environmentally

sensitive and profitable sites for the

future. Aquamarine' s technologies

also have similarities with our expe-

rience in hydro-electric and off-shore

wind development. We see marine

energy making an increasingly impor-

tant contribution to our growing port-

folio of r enewable energy generation

plants.”

SOUTH AFRICAN

developer NuPlanet is

planning to build another

four small hydro power

plants in the country. It

has been awarded devel-

opment rights for the

projects, which it aims to

secure finance for within

he next year. The com-

bined installed capacity of

the new projects is 20MW.

Previously, the company

built the 7MW Bethlehem

plant, and it said that the

new projects will make it a

premier small hydro

developer in the region.

RUSSIAN POWER

group Inter RAO UES has

signed an agreement that

will see it cooperate in

small hydro power devel-

opment in Cuba. The

company has set up a joint

venture with Cuba's

Union Electrica to develop

small hydro plants on the

island. The small hydro

work is part of a wider

pact to develop and

upgrade thermal power

facilities and also improve

the transmission grid.

Their deal follows a visit

to Cuba by the Russian

company in October last

year.

UK-BASED RENEWABLE

generator E.ON has

announced that it will be

the first to test the new

Pelamis P2 wave power

device at the European

Marine Energy Centre

(EMEC) in Orkney. The

company said an initial

test programme will be

based around a single

750kW Pelamis P2 device

that is currently being

built in Edinburgh,

Scotland. The device is

expected to become fully

operational in 2010.

US dam repair needs funding jump,

federal support to states sought

HE COST OF REPAIRS NEE DED

for non-federal dams in the US

has increased 39% to US$50B

from 2003 es timates, according to

the Association of State Dam Safety

Officials (ASDSO).

ASDSO added that the estimate for

repairs needed to non-federal dams

with high hazard potential has jumped

60% to US$16B from US$10.1B over

the same period. The breakdown of

public to private dams is 54% to 46%,

respectively.

In 2007, ASDSO estimates based

on state data, approximately

US$700M was invested to rehabilitate

about 341 dams. It added that the

number of deficient dams has

increased by more than a third over

the last five years, citing the latest

data from the National Inventory of

Dams (NID), which is maintained by

the US Army Corps of Engineers.

The Association has called for a fed-

eral programme to help fund the reha-

bilitation of dams, which it said would

help encourage parallel funding initia-

tives by states.

It added that it is aware of 272 proj-

ect that could begin construction work

within the next two to 24 months, at

an estimated total cost of US$382M.

But to get rid of the historical back-

log of work needed to be done o n

dams, it said that an extra 270 high

hazard potential dams alone would

need to be fixed annually at addition-

al cos t of approxima tely US$850M

per year.

Endesa sells hydro assets to Acciona

PANISH ENERGY GROUP

Endesa has agreed to sell a

tranche of hydro and other

rene wables assets to c ompatriot

infrastructure and energy group

Acciona.

Endesa i s to transfer 682MW of

conventional hydro capacity and

175MW of mini hydro under the deal.

The conventional hydro plants are

located on the rivers Cinca, Gallego

and Aragon. There are about 100

employees of Endesa at the hydro

assets and they are to transfer to

Acciona as part of the package.

The transfer is part of a wider renew-

ables asset sale, which also includes

1248MW of wind power capacity.

Acciona said the sale price for the

combination of hydro and wind assets

is Euro2.89B (US$3.68B) on a debt-

free basis.

The group added that the acquisi-

tions of the conventional hydro plants

gives it access to 'a new technology

with considerable strategic value'.

Acciona added that a key strategic

benefit was to have conventional hydro

generation to help offset the fluctua-

tions in output from wind power.

DF SUEZ HAS RECEI VED

appr oval for addit ional bank

loans towards the cost of build-

ing the Jirau project in west Brazil.

A loan of R$7.2B (US$3B) ha s

been approved for the 3300MW proj-

ect by the Brazilian national devel-

opment bank (BNDES). The loan

equates to approximately 68.5% of

the total project cost, said the bank,

which would give a tot al budget for

the hydro scheme of R$10.5B

(US$4.38B).

Last year, the mines and energy

ministry (MME) noted the co nstru c-

tion budget as R$9B (US$3.77B).

awarded the 30-year concession in

May 2008. It has a 50.1% stake and

its partners are Brazilian electric util-

ities Eletrosul (20%), Chesf (20%) and

local constructio n group Camargo

Correa (9.9%).

In April 2008, before the auction of

the concession for the scheme,

BNDES had said i t was prepa red to

prov ide up to three-quarters of the

funding required for the scheme.

Jirau is one of the two projects in

the 6,450MW Madeira sch eme, the

other being the 3150MW Santo

Anto nio p roject which is to see first

units in by the middle of 2012.

Earlier this year the bank approved

a loan of R$6.1B (US$2.55B) for the

construction of the Santo Antonio proj-

ect. The financing equates to 46.6% of

the project budget.

Santo Antonio is being built under

concession by a consortium led by

electric utility Fur nas and construction

group Odebrecht, and includes con-

struction group Andrade Gutier rez,

electric utility Cemig and a private

equity fund held by banks Santander

and Banif.

Lower Churchill plans move ahead

The 2.8GW Lower Churchill would

include two plants – Gull Island

(2000MW) and Muskrat Falls

(800MW). They are together expect-

ed to generate 16.7TWh of electrici-

ty per year.

Nalcor Energy said the

Environm ental Impact Statement

(EIS) for t he scheme has ju st been

submitted and the review is exp ect-

ed to be completed next year.

Last year, when noting the positive

development of agreement between

the provincial Government and Innu

Nation, it was hoped that the project

could be sanctioned this y ear. In

announcing the EIS submission,

Nalcor Ene rgy said that a 10-year

construction period was envisaged.

The utility is the lead agency in

development of the scheme. It is the

parent compan y of Newfoundland

and Labrador Hydro (N LH) a nd the

Churchill Falls (Labrador) Corp.

Licences for two hydro

power plants in south west

Serbia have been awarded

to a subsidiary of

Canadian developer

Reservoir Capital Corp.

The licences are for the

evelopment of

Brodarevo-1 and

Brodarevo-2, which are

run-of-river projects with

combined installed capaci-

ty of 48MW. The projects

will be built on the river

Lim, where there are

already four existing

plants. The company said

that the licences are the

first of their kind in Serbia.

A GROUP OF FEDERAL

agencies in the US have

issued guidance on water

resource management

under climate change risk

conditions. The findings in

the report lead to recom-

mended strategies to

improve water manage-

ment through anticipating,

planning for, monitoring

and responding to the

effect of climate change.

NIGERIA'S FEDERAL

Government has

announced plans to

construct 17 medium and

large dams with a total

reservoir capacity of

3432Bm

by 2011.

Nineteen new irrigation

schemes will also be built.

MPROVED WATER FLOWS AND

'excellent' plant per formance

helped increase hydro power output

and overall production for Ontario

Power Generation (OPG) in 2008 com-

pared to the previous year.

Regulated hydro power output last

year increased by 4% to 18,800 GWh

compared to 2007 though availability

dipped to 93.8% from 94.1%.

Unregulated generation jumped by

more than a quarter to 17,600GWh

and OPG saw availability improve to

94.6% from 93.9% last time.

Hydro power income in 2008 was

also increased by the new price for reg-

ulated output of Can$36.66/MWh.

The Canadian utility reported that

OPG hydro performance higher in '08

negotiations are continuing over the

excavation difficulties on the Niagara

tunnel. Talks are scheduled to be com-

pleted before the end of March but will

have significant cost and scheduling

impacts, it added.

OPG also said it is continuing to

push ahead with a development plan

to nearly double the installed capacity

in four plants on the Lower Mattagami

river, from 483MW to 933MW.

As part of the plans, OPG is in nego-

tiations with First Nation stakeholders

to both settle grievances over the

plants and agree a new commer cial

relationship. The company says it

plans to submit its proposals for the

additional 450MW to the Government

and the Canadian Environmental

Assessment Agency this year.

OPG is also replacing four mini

plants – Wawaitin, Sandy Falls, Lower

Sturgeon and Hound Chute - as part of

a wider rehabilitation package that will

see total installed capacity almost

double, increasing from 23MW to

44MW. Annual electricity generation is

set to increase from 134GWh to

223GWh.

A settlement in principle over con-

struction matters related to the new

Lac Seul facility is expected to enable

the 12.5MW plant to be operational

this month. It was originally scheduled

to be in service by the end of the third

quarter of 2007.

IMACHAL PRA DESH POWER

Corp (HPPC) has awarded a

contract for key civils works on

the Kas hang proje ct to Hindustan

Construction Co (HCC), and called for

tenders for the electromechanical

works.

The value of HCC'S civil engineering

contract on the project in the state of

Himachal Pradesh, in northern India,

is Rupee 296.9 crore (US$60M). The

contract period to complete the plant

is 45 months.

Civil works on Kashang will involve

construction of a river diversion,

intakes, a conveyance channel, de-silt-

ing basins, a power channel, headrace

tunnel, an underground balancing

reservoir, an underground powerhouse

and a tailrace tunnel.

State-owned HPPC has issued a call

for tenders by 19 May for electro-

HPPC awards Kashang civils work

to HCC, calls for E&M bids

mechanical equipment for the project.

A pre-bid conferment is to be held on

16 April.

The Kashang scheme is located on

the Kashang and Kerang rivers, which

are tributaries of the Satluj. It is to be

built with a loan fr om the Asian

Development Bank (ADB) towards the

Himachal Pradesh Clean Energy

Development Programme.

In the fourth quarter of 200 8 the

bank approved US$800M in loans

towards four projects to be deve l-

oped as part of the Programme –

Shongtong-Karcham (402MW), Sawra

Kuddu (111MW) and Sainj (100MW)

and the Kashang I, II & III projects

(195MW).

While HCC notes in its c ontract

award that the installed capacity is to

be 195MW (3 x 65MW) , the project

has preciously been cited to be

243MW, and this equates to eventual

inclu sion of Kashang IV, which wil l

have an additional capacity of 48MW

(2 x 24MW).

Separately, for the S awra Kuddu

(3 x 37 MW) project HPPC is calling

for bids, by 8 April, for a package of

civil works including diversion bar-

rage, power intake, and desanding

arrangements.

Patel Engineering was awarded the

contract for the powerhouse complex

at Sawra Kuddu, and Andritz VA Tech

Hydro (now Andritz Hydro) was award-

ed the electro-mechanical contract.

Recently, a joint venture led by HCC

won the turnkey contract to build the

330MW (3 x 110MW) Kishanganga

project, in Jammu & Kashmir. The

turnkey contract is valued at Rupee

2726.49 crore (US$560M) and is to

be completed in 84 months.

OITH HYDRO AND RWE INNOGY

have formed a joint venture to

accelerate the development,

manufacture and marketing of ocean

current technologies.

The new venture – Voith Hydro

Ocean Current Technologies – will be

majority owned by Voith Hydro (80%),

with RWE Innogy holding the remaining

20%. The total investment guaranteed

by both partners over the next few

years equals over EUR 30M. The

establishment of the joint venture is

subject to the approval of the relevant

anti-trust authorities.

Voith Hydro and RWE Innogy form JV

“We are absolutely convinced:

ocean current power stations will be

an important building block within the

energy mix of the future. The coopera-

tion of two partners of such a high cal-

iber is a milestone in the development

and the marketing of this young tech-

nology,” said Dr. Hubert Lienhard, CEO

of Voith AG. “Our common goal is to

make ocean current technology com-

petitive as quickly as possible.”

Voith Hydro has been working on

ocean currents technologies since

2005. By the end of this year, the com-

pany will deploy and test a 110kV pro-

totype turbine off the South Korean

coast. This initial test plant will form

part of a planned power station project

that - in the medium term - will gener-

ate electricity from ocean currents to

produce several hundred megawatts.

Further test plants in Europe will follow.

RWE Innogy has also been active in

the field of ocean energy. The compa-

ny plans to construct a 4MW wave

power station off the Scottish coast

this year. Additionally, there are plans

for the construction of a 10.5MW

ocean current power station off the

Welsh coast in 2012.

the East Toba and Montros e Creek

projects being develo ped in British

Columbia by Plutonic Power Corp.

Plutonic said the contribution would

come in the form of an incentive of

Can$10/MWh (US$7.89/MWh) over

the first 10 years of operations. The

contribution is being made available

under the Government's “ecoENERGY

for Renewable Power” initiative.

The run-of-river plants will have an

installed capacity of 196MW - com-

prising East Toba (123MW) and

Montrose (73MW). They are expected

to generate more than 725GWh (net)

of electricity annually after they come

into service, which is scheduled for

mid-2010.

Plutonic is developing the plants in

partnership with GE Energy Financial

Services. Construction began in mid-

2007 and the budget is approximate-

ly Can$660M (US$520M). The

contractor of the turnkey works is Peter

Kiewit Sons Co.

The funding pact on the scheme

sees GE contributing to project finance

in exchange for a 49% stake and 60%

economic holding.

GE and Plutonic said last year that

they planned to build on their co-oper-

ation on the scheme to step-up invest-

ments and developments to 1GW of

installed capacity in British Columbia.

The partners envisaged that approxi-

mately Can4B (US$3.15B) would be

needed for the proposed run-of-river

schemes in Upper Toba Valley (three

plants) and Bute Inlet (18 plants).

gains Canadian Govt funds

Impsa pushes ahead with

Porce III project

PREPARATIONS ARE ADVANCING for the installation of the first turbine,

and despatch in the near future of the second unit, for the Porce III plant

under construction in Colombia.

Impsa is supplying four Francis turbines to the 844MW (4 x 211MW)

plant, which is being developed by Empresas Publicas de Medellin

(EPM) and will be its biggest facility. The plant is located on the Porce

river near Antioquia City in the north of the country, in Los Andes region.

The units are to commissioned starting after mid-2010 to early 2011,

and when completed the plant is to generate 4300GWh of electricity

annually. It will benefit from the regulation capacity of Porce II and

Riogrande II reservoirs as well as those of the Troneras and Miraflores,

which are part of the Guadalupe system.

Impsa's contract includes design, production and supply of the turbines as

well as related hydro mechanical parts, onsite supervision, testing and

training. It was awarded a US$37M contract for the package in late 2006.

The main construction work on the project is being undertaken by a

joint venture of Construcoes e Comercio Camargo with Colombian firms

Conconcreto and Coninsa, which started work on site in late 2005.

Key features of the project include a CFRD dam, 12.3km long by 10.2m

wide headrace tunnel and an underground powerhouse. Earlier plans had

the installed capacity of the plant at 688MW (4 x 172MW) and 660MW.

NHA welcomes Govt boost for hydro, PS

HE NATIONAL HYDROPOWER

Association (NHA) has welcomed

US Government's recognition of

the impor t ance of pumped storage

(PS) to the wider development of grid-

connected renewable energy

resources, and its support for hydro-

electric generati on in the economic

stimulus package approved by

Congress.

NHA said that expanding PS capac-

ity beyond the country's existing

resources for storing energy, dominat-

ed by 20.3GW of PS, was a high prior-

ity. The resource offers major benefits

in fast-response stabilization to the

electricity transmission grids to help

balance the fluctuating inputs of

resources like wind power. It called for

the Government to build on recognition

of the importance of PS, as voiced by

Energy Secretar y Steven Chu, by

establishing policies that encourage

aggressive investment i projects using

the proven, established technology.

The Association has established a

PS council to help develop strategies

to speed development of projects. In a

statement it said:"'We are reaching

out to all sectors of the energy indus-

try, to the Administration, and to

Congress to expand understanding of

this technology and create sound poli-

cies that will serve all Americans."

NHA added that a key goal is to help

establish incentives, such as tax cred-

its, that will attract investors and

encourage rapid development of more

pumped storage projects.

Praise was also given for the inclu-

sion of hydro in the American Recovery

and Reinvestment Act approved by

Congress. The “Stimulus” package

provides for financial support to incre-

mental hydro power, generation at non-

powered dams, and the development

of ocean, tidal and instream hydroki-

netic technologies.

The tax provisions for investors pro-

vide incentives to support the growth

of the renewables resources, it added.

NHA noted that earlier Government

measures, such as production tax

credits, led to a rapid increase in devel-

opment by 25%-50%.

In a statement, the Association

added: "We applaud the way the Act

targets activities that will stimulate

growth today, while also preparing for

the future. The tax policies and incen-

tives in the Act provide stability over

time for our industry, which will help

maintain a strong growth curve and

encourage investors to launch projects

that have a long lead-time."

NHA continued: "Funding for feder-

al research projects, public-private

partnerships, and improvements to US

Army Corps of Engineers' hydro facili-

ties will offer a two-fold benefit, as well.

We will be able to create jobs and eco-

nomic activity within the hydro industry

today, while laying a course that will

lead us to new technologies, new

investment, and more growth in the

future."

The consultant hosted a delegation

from Malaysia in early March. Scott

Baddiley, general manager, said: 'We

are hopeful of developing further busi-

ness opportunities following the visit

and as a result of the current work we

are doing in Sarawak.'

Hydro Tasmania in Sarawak

project feasibility studies

In July last year the firm began work

on a Aus$1.6M (US$1M) project that

involves feasibility studies for four

hydro power plants in Sarawak -

Metjawah, Punun Bah, Pelagus and

Belaga in the Rajang river basin. The

studies are to be completed in August.

Metjawah, Punun Bah and Pelagus

are low head projects with capacities

ranging from 100MW to 216MW. At

Metjawah, the project would have a

10m high concrete weir. Belaga is a

high head project that would have a

80m high RCC dam.

for work on the proposed Tarbela

4th hydro power project.

The objective of the project is to

install a hydro power Plant on 4th

tunnel of Tarb ela Dam. This

tunnel is approximately 36-45ft

(11-13 .7m) diameter and it is

about 3000ft (914.4m) long.

Studies show that a power plant

of about 1000MW can be

installed on this tunnel. Currently

he dam has power units on

Tunnels 1-3 with total generation

capacity of 3478MW.

The main objective of the pro-

posed consultancy services is to

support WAPDA in project prepa-

ration studies, preparation of

detail ed desi gn, bidding docu-

ments and PC-I, including engi-

neering, economic, environmental

and social studies and construc-

tion supervision of all works and

activities included under the pro-

ject.

The consulting services are thus

divide d into two phases:

Rehabilitation work is needed on

the crest gates at the US Army

Corps of Engineers’ (USACE)

Berlin Dam in Northeastern Ohio

on the Mahoning River. A t otal

of four ta inter type gates will be

renovated. The gates are welded

steel, 1 8ft (5.5m) high and 30 ft

(9. 1m) long, consisting of plate

and st ructural shapes. Work on

the ga tes includes removing the

gates from their normal position

on the crest of the dam, reinforc-

ing sections of the gate, removing

lead paint and repainting, replac-

ing rubber seals, lifting chains and

sprock ets; we ld test ing and

coupon tests on embedde d trun-

nion pins; supp lying new stop

logs; minor modifications to, and

painting of, the moveable hoist;

painti ng of ring jets; supplying

and erecting a pre-engineered

metal building on a concrete foun-

dation including electric service.

Welded joints are to be tested by

applicable non-destructive testing

(ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and

visual). Deadline for bids is 21
