7.4. Прикметники, що закінчуються на -ing, -ed

Форма слова із закінченням -ing може бути прикметником, що

характеризує іменник. Вживають форму -ing тоді, коли йдеться

про відчуття або якість виконання дії, тобто про зовнішні

характеристики.

(1) The book is interesting.

Форма слова із закінченням -ed може бути прикметником, що

характеризує іменник. Вживають форму -ed тоді, коли йдеться

• verb + ing зазвичай має активне значення.
