Travelers to Russia are
urged to obtain overseas
medical insurance which includes
hospitalization and medical evacuation.
If you take prescription medicine, carry
your prescription with you.
Take a small first-aid kit with you. You may
want to include basic cold, anti-diarrhea,
and allergy medications. However, you
should be able to find most items, like
aspirin, locally.
It is important to drink bottled water as
well as using it for brushing your teeth.
Hospitals usually close on weekends but
emergency clinics are open seven days a
week and in most cases require fees be
paid in advance.
Check with your insurance company
before leaving home to find out if you are
covered in a foreign country. You may
want to purchase traveler's insurance
