Eiffage Construction Strasbourg completed nine Astron buildings in a business park in a key area
close to Strasbourg (France). The offi ce part is MSB, while the production and storage area is a
1,600m² SSB dedicated to the packaging of teas and tea plants for the company Herbapac. This is
an ultra-modern plant planned for a capacity of 300 tons per year, with four production lines.

Dupont Est wanted to make for its bathrooms showroom of 1,200m² a real showcase for the company
image and wanted a showroom facility that could operate at high effi ciency and, therefore, among other
features, insisted upon maximum fl exibility in the internal layouts. With its curved entrance area with
arched beams the building itself really promotes the company’s business.

The simple yet harmonious architecture of this building gives it a stately appearance. The 3,500m² is spread
over 5 levels and includes underground parking, a supermarket, cafés and restaurants, boutiques and consulting
rooms. From a technical point of view, the Lindab-Astron engineering team took special care of the arrangement
of the columns as the building is located over a river!

The atmosphere in “Extreme Park”, with a capacity of 1,000 people is undeniably ideal for such creative
sporting activities. Architecturally, the attraction of the building lies in details such as the curved parapet
and canopy, curtain wall…. This design is furthermore accompanied by a symbiotic truss system steel
sculpture, framing the building’s entrance.
