In the new

millennium, Las

Vegas has ﬁ nally

an international

clubbing capital, with the

success of nightclubs at

hipper casinos like the

Palms and Mandalay Bay

prompting their rivals to

follow suit, often with

spectacular results. More

now coming to Las Vegas

speciﬁ cally for the clubs,

although it has to be said

that it’s still somewhat

skewed towards older,

wealthier customers.

by the postmodern circus/

catching stores of all kinds and a batch of

Forum at Caesars

Palace, none of

the casinos had

its own shopping

mall, and the

city’s stores

catered almost exclusively

to locals. Since then,

however, malls and

arcades have been

on the Strip alone), and

an amazing two-thirds

of Las Vegas visitors cite

shopping as the main

reason to come.

likely source of good deals on everyday wear

than its big-name rivals.
