6 Conclusion
I hope to have shown that, by forcing us to consider what aspects of language
convey information relevant to behavior, animated simulations of realistic human
agents can allow us to better understand language, and by doing so, allow us to
better employ such agents for our benefit. Even though we have already shown
that following instructions requires attention to more of an utterance than its
main verb and argument structure, I believe we have just scratched the surface
of what language can provide to agents. I hope that more researchers will now
find it of interest to look more into relationships between Natural Language and
behavior.
