Lurestan, a vast land of the Weste Persia, rounded by Zagros, is
of a great importance from anthropological, archeological and
dialectological aspects.
The people whom we call Lor, live in a country among these cities and countries: Malayer, Tuyserkan, Harsin, Ilam, Poshtkun, Dezful, Baxtiyari, Aligudarz, Poshtkuh (west of Arak).
These people, according to a usual division, that is accepted by themselves, some are Lor and some Lak; and this division can also be accepted according to dialects.
Dialects in this country must be more studied. Khorramabad dialect is that at first I had begun. So I made an effort to prepare a report of all important dialects.
Now I think Lak dialects are more important than Lor. Because they have some words and some sounds that, I think, can guide us to understand Pahlavi phonetics better and also that of Old Persian.
