The global demand boom for metals will continue for at least the rest of the decade. The mining industry of Europe is centred in the Nordic countries. Exploration and mining in these countries is not only crucial to the supply of minerals for Europe, but is also the most vital part of the regional economic development of northe Sweden, Finland and Norway. The activities of exploration juniors as well as established mining companies create secure jobs where the mines are located, and these jobs cannot be moved to low-cost countries.
