Multiroupe machines are provided with several (2;3;4;6;8)

hoisting ropes and placed directly above the mine shaft on

the tower-type head frame (;& and  type machines) or in-

stalled at the difinite distance from the mine shaft (H and

;& type machines). Multirope machines are used mainly for

hoisting heavy loads from large depth.

The multirope mine winders are equipped with two kind of

breakes: radial-block and disk brakes.

There is a machine with radial-block brakes at the picture.

There is a machine with disk brakes presented at the cover

of this catalogue.

In indication type of the mine winder prefix “@U” means that

the brake is of a disk type.

A mine winder with friction pulleys is manufactured at NKMZ

for deep mines. This machine is basically designed for cage

hoisting and fitted with the tail rope. The machine is fitted the

7.2 – metre dia pulley. This machine has a distinguishing fea-

ture. This is a reel put on the main shaft provided nearby the

friction pulley. The reel is meant for the rope winding during

its changing or hanging. A 60-mm dia rope of up to maximum

1330 metres long may be wound on the reel in nine layers.

The machine is provided either with the DC or AC low-speed

or the AC high-speed gear-driven motors. The pneumatic–

loaded brake drive is used. A maximum allowable static rope

tensioning is 31 tons. The maximum hoisting speed is 15.85

m/s.

MINE WINDER SPEED REDUCERS

The ;) Type single-stage cylinder reversing speed reduc-

ers with the involute gearing and a pair of driven shaft or the

;U Type two-stage cylinder speed reducer with a single

driven shaft are used. The speed reducer is designed to re-

duce the number of revolutions and to increase the torque

transmitted from the electric motor to the shaft of the main

gear-driven mine Winder.

The ;) Type speed reducers are made with rated gear

ratios of 10.5 and 11.5 and centre distances of 2200mm,

1800mm, 1600mm and 1400 mm.

For special-purpose machines ;)-22 speed reducers with

the gear ratio of 9.5 are used being supported in rolling or, as

an exception, in plain bearings.

The ;U Type speed reducers are made with gear ratio of

20.

Speed reducers permit to transmit motion at a maximum

rope speed in compliance with safety rules in force.

The motion control facilities and the mine Winder control

desk are designed to provide automatic and manual control

of all the types of the mine winders including the multirope,

single-drum and multi-drum machines.

These control facilities may be utilized both for the new

hoisting machines and for the mine winders being in service

upon their updating. They may be supplied either as complete

units or in separate components.

The motion control facilities and the mine winder control

desk perform the following functions:

– Continuous control of the hoisting apparatus speed dur-

ing its acceleration, full speed mode, slowing-down and creep

speed mode with the safety brake being applied when the

parameters under control are beyond the preset limits.

– Control of the mine counters.

– Control of the emergency shutdowns.

– Control of the rope slippage or breaks.

– Compensation for the rope extension.

– Control of the hoisting apparatus overrun beyond the pre-

set limit positions and protection against the excessive lifting

or lowering by using the safety brake.

– Protection against the reverse motion.

– Control of the current position of the hoisting apparatus

in the mine shaft with the output of signals at preset points of

motion.

– Self-control of the speed limiter.

– Correction of the speed protection diagram by the spe-

cialized adjuster using a special password.

– Hoisting drive control.

– Control of the in-process and emergency braking.

– Visualization of the actual parameters under control and

self-control results.

SERVICES PROVIDED BY NKMZ WITH REGARD TO THE MINE WINDERS UPDATING

Changeable steel lining is provided if:

– There are cracks in the drum shell.

– A wooden lining is replaced.

–The grooved steel surface of the drum is worn out.

– Rope diameter and its winding pitch are changed.

To increase the drum coiling length or to change deviation angles lining may be made with the variable winding pitch or with

three windings being provided on the rubber lining.

With the braking fields being worn out or damaged, the changeable steel lining may be made in combination with the braking

field.

To increase the coiling length of the drum:

– Friction windings are arranged on elastic lining.

– Spare rope length is arranged inside the drum.

– Transition strips are provided upon the double-layer rope winding on the drum.

Replacement of the wedged drum hub made of two parts with thermal pins.

Turning of the braking fields.

Providing the strap on the drum to align the rope length.

Providing brake shoes made of the moulded material instead of the wooden ones.

Substitution of the single-drive brake by the two-drive one.

Providing the insert piece between the toothed coupling casings to compensate for the distance between couplings.

Substitution of the disk springs provided in the uncoupling device by the coil ones.

Installation of the new machines on the existing foundations with the drum coiling surface being increased due to:

– The use of larger drum.

– Replacing the 2; Type machines with the ;< Type machines.

– Increasing the drum coiling surface when replacing the outboard brakes with the inboard ones (the Type HR machines).

Updating the available machines upon making them as the multirope ones.
