London: The Ukrainian Press Bureau, 1919. - 40 p.
So little is known in the Weste world of the life and people of that great Easte land, the Ukraine, and so little has been written in the English tongue conceing the past and future of a country whose fate is of moment to thousands to whom it is little more than a name, that this translation has been hastily made of M. Alexander Shoulguin's illuminating little brochure, "Les Problemes de l'Ukraine. " In securing for it a wider audience than has been afforded by its appearance hitherto solely in French, it may be remarked that the author is a former Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Ukraine, and has represented his country at the Peace Conference in Paris.
The portrait is that of General Petloura, Commander- in-Chief of the Ukrainian Army, and President of the Directory, the democratically-elected body which goves the country.
