Cambridge: 2001
Язык: Английский. Книга предназначена для общего ознакомления с англо-саксонской правовой системой (common law) или в качестве вводного пособия для юридического английского перевода.
The purpose of this book is to give students general introduction to the law, whether or not they intend to specialize in legal studies. Despite greater inteationalization, most law is still made and enforced by individual govements, and there are great differences among the world's system of law. For much of this book, English law has been chosen as a model. But frequent comparisons have been made with the principles and institutions of other parts of the world, especially with the United States, whose legal system closely resembles that of England, and with Weste Europe and Japan.
The book is divided into four parts. The first five chapters deal with some general issues, the next five ones are conceed with some important legal principles. The next five units consider the role of law in regulating some areas of economic and social life. And the final five chapters take a look at some wide topics where legal development are closely related to social and political ones.
