ISBN 978-5-7444-3605-6. The monograph presents the findings of the research of the actual problems of development of the level of human potential level in Russia. The aim of the research is a comprehensive assessment of the level of development of human potential of Russia as a promising direction of social and economic development of the country. In this research the analysis of structure and dynamics of the human development index Russia in 2000–2013 years is carried out. By using the extrapolation method the trend of the Human Development Index for the period up to 2020 is forecasted. By using the multiple regression analysis the factors affecting the development of human potential were identified. On the basis of the method of cluster analysis the place of Russia among the major Asia-Pacific countries and the European Union in terms of human development was determined. The presented research of development of human potential allowed to understand more qualitatively the category of human development as the main wealth of the country from three positions: longevity, education, and welfare.
The research findings could be useful for public authorities in developing the Concept of long-term socio-economic development of the Russian Federation and its subjects: determination of ways and means of ensuring in the long-term sustainable increase of welfare of Russian citizens, national security, and dynamic development of the economy.
