API Specification Ql provides requirements for a quality system that may be applied on an inteational basis to facilitate the consistent and reliable manufacture of products to specifications prepared for the oil and gas industry. Part One of this Standard is aligned with ANSI/ISO/ASQC Q9001- 1994, Quality Systems—Model for Quality Assurance in Design, Development, Production, Installation and Servicing. Content of API Spec Q1 not found in ANSI Q900I-1994 is shown in italics.
When used by API licensees in conjunction with the requirements of the API License Agreement, Part Two of this specification is required (normative).
